The Soft Dome est une installation conçue et réalisée pour le National Museum de Singapour. Il occupe la Rotonde du Musée, pour la Children’s Season, autour du thème «connexions», tout au long des mois de Juin et Juillet 2017.
Nous proposons un dôme inversé.
L’intention est de créer un lien entre le visiteur, enfant ou adulte, avec l’architecture qui l’entoure. Nous voulons faire sentir à celui-ci le patrimoine bâti du musée à travers ses codes architecturaux, en le plongeant dans un dôme inversé - une installation hémisphérique et immersive, comme un miroir du dôme qui le surplombe. Jouer avec les codes du lieu par un acte contemporain en renversant la coupole.
The Soft Dome is an installation designed for the National Museum of Singapore. It takes place in the Rotunda space of the Museum, for the Children’s Season around the theme «connections» during June and July 2017.
We propose an inverted dome.
The aim is to connect adults and the children with the architecture that surrounds them. We want the visitors to feel the heritage of the museum by its architectural codes, being in an inverted dome - an immersive and hemispheric installation, as a mirror of the dome above them. We propose to play with the architectural codes of the place in a contemporary way reversing the cupola.
