Installation 100% bois massif et parquet de réemploi pour RATP Habitat à Paris

Bois Debout est pensée comme un mini-paysage à habiter.
Elle s’inscrit dans l’aménagement du nouveau siège social de RATP Habitat dessiné par Atelier du Pont Architectes et livré en 2021. L’agence d’architecture a invité YokYok à proposer un aménagement pour l’atrium situé au centre du bâtiment. L’enjeu de cette intervention consistait avant tout à offrir par l’art une oeuvre mobilier qui puisse apporter de l’usage tout en donnant une identité au lieu et en dialoguant avec le projet architectural. YokYok a voulu créer un paysage miniature tout en jouant avec la lumière zénithale sans l’obstruer. Le lieu devient ainsi un point de rencontre pour lire, discuter, prendre un café ou même accueillir des évènements privés avec bar ou DJ set.

Les lames de parquet sont en bois massif de réemploi, issu de vieilles charpentes démontées. Les pièces de bois ont étés redécoupées, délignées et rabotées et reconverties en lames de parquet.

Bois Debout is designed as a mini landscape to inhabit.
It takes place in a brand new building, headquarters of RATP Habitat for social housing. The building delivered in 2021 is designed by Atelier du Pont Architects who invited YokYok to think about an installation for the vertical atrium in the center of the building. The challenge was to provide through art, an unconventional space that brings identity, interacts with surrounding architecture and offers an experience for the users. YokYok wanted to create a small landscape and play with the natural light of the space to create a gathering point to meet & talk, read, or have a coffee. The space can even fit with a private event with bar or DJ set.

The parquet is massive reused wood, from old dismounted frameworks. The wooden pieces were cut, slide, and planed to be reconverted into floorboards.
